About the team and this role:
You will be our first AE in San Francisco Bay Area, working alongside the growth manager and CEO on a daily basis. This role is in office every day Mon-Fri 10am-6pm. No remote. Your calendar will hopefully be full every morning (from the SDR's feeding you high quality leads). You have to demo and close at very high pace. Endurance and perseverance are key.
Responsibilities:
- Learn a detailed understanding of US startup taxes, compliance and accounting needs. But you don't need to be an accountant or CPA or anywhere near. Enough to understand, and we'll teach you everything very quickly.
- Prepare and deliver pricing quotations and negotiate.
- Chase up and close relentlessly but not annoyingly.
- Design, develop, and deliver sales proposals and presentations on product benefits to prospective clients.
- Maintain all sales databases necessary to report sales activity and customer information.
- Keep up to date with the current company offerings and industry trends.
- You should ideally have lots of leads from the SDR's. But if you don't, then you must go hunt yourself.
- Harness and command your SDRs to give you high quality leads every day. Hold them accountable. Show them how it is done, and make your expectations clear.
Skills and Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Account Executive would be great, but we're open to considering freshers. Total 0-3 years workex, ideally in US B2B SMB SaaS sales but not mandatorily.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to build relationship.
- Strong negotiation skills and willingness to learn
- Very high attention to detail and ability to analyse processes/data.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive results.
- Very high willingness to speak with customers and hold sales meetings daily.
- Extreme proactiveness. This is the number one trait we’re looking for. We will not micromanage you - you must be a complete self-starter, and make yourself super busy and just take care of things without being asked.
- English is key: you’ll need very strong English (written and spoken).
- Communication willingness is critical: you need to overcommunicate without being asked.

- Highly competitive salary: Inkle offers a competitive compensation package benchmarked to local norms in Bangalore and San Francisco. Your compensation will be based on a normal OTE formula. The number given below is OTE.
