About the team and this role: 
You'll lead the US customer accounting function and team. 

Responsibilities: 

• Build and train the US accounting team.
• Harness AI to make the team's work 10x more efficient at scale. 
• Work closely with the product and management teams to oversee strong AI agentic implementation. 
• Oversee the entire process of US financial statements preparation. 
• Ensure compliance with tax and GAAP. 
• Oversee subsidiary accounting in the US, and crossborder group consolidation. 
• Ensure compliance for profitable companies to submit advanced estimated tax. 
• Work very closely with the tax team. 
• Stay updated and educate the team on US financial accounting and management accounting standards. 
• Become an expert in treatment of R&D credits and R&D Section 174. 
• Research on various complex tax topics on a case-by-case basis.
• Maintain and lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters, supporting our teams with service execution and developing extended services.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service. You will be responsible for identifying issues and proposing potential solutions.
• Oversee the client's deliverables per the scope of the work and deadlines set, and maintain the quality of all deliverables.

Who we’re looking for: 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience with US accounting with 3+ years of that in controllership.
• Experience with QBO, Xero and other softwares. 
• Strong managerial experience. 
• Comfort with AI tools. 
• Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Working hours: Monday-Friday, based in our Bengaluru office, you’ll work 12pm-9pm IST, in order to serve US customers. Route cabs and dinner will be provided late night.
